Who are all these people I am friends with on Twitter? How are we connected? Social Media platforms have encouraged niche marketing to an intense degree. Unless your friends on facebook or followers on twitter are people you work with or knew somehow from the path of life, you are most likely connected via social medium because of a certain “niche” you fit into. On twitter, celebrities keep up with celebrities, advertisers keep up with advertisers and real estate agents keep up with real estate agents. There are the followers and friends who fall somewhere in between, but those who really participate on social mediums most likely fall into a niche involving their
- Interests
- Profession
- Favorite Type of Entertainment
This is why social media is so great for niche marketing! Here are some ideas for your company.
- Tweets/Posts: Sponsor influencer’s tweets or facebook posts. Not everyone is signed on at all times so make sure to buy a package that gets retweeted throughout the day.
- Viral Videos: Sponsor viral videos, that’s right Youtube is a social media platform too. Did you know that if you get 1,000,000 views on Youtube, you get paid?
- Blog Advertising: Advertise to your company’s niche. Find bloggers, personalities and Internet gurus who know that niche and regularly express their opinion about it. Those are the perfect place for your company to advertise and guess what? It’s probably A LOT cheaper and can be WAY more effective than spending the money on a commercial on television, because you are advertising directly to your niche!
