Office Party

Microsoft threw a party for it’s new Office Live Workspace.
Several producers, writers and actors from HBO were there mingling with models and a few geeks.
It was cool to interview Rob Weiss, the writer for the TV hit series, Entourage.
See also Caroline McCarthy’s account of the party on The Social.
A round up on Tech Meme traces news around how you can share your work using Office Live Workspace.
Sarah Perez at Read Write Web gives an awesome run through comparison of the basics. Enjoy!

I choose Google Docs & Zoho in daily usage. You don’t have to have an installed Microsoft office suite on your computer for them to use… Btw, Google Gears support is on the way for Google Docs ;) Accessibility makes big difference…
cool video. well put together
Don’t sell to Yahoo!!!
Agreed. They should back off of Yahoo.
the guy in the beginning is great haha
Sounds like Yahoo is not a good move.
@Teresa, The cab driver was hilarious. He saw me holding my camera and asked me to film him. I just came up with the idea to add him in and I think it’s a fine little nugget.
[...] had an awesome party last night and I went to cover it for Pop17! [Click here] to watch the video there. It was hard not to notice that there were a lot of models, [...]
collaboration or no collaboration Office Live Workplace is going smoke out the competition in just one month. i was told that even as a private beta it was already the fifth most used office related online app.
and i don`t know why everyone compares it directly with zoho and docs. it competes directly with Adobe Share more than anything right now.
I love this new show Sarah i guess pop17 can be seen as part popsugar and part danah boyd mixed into one.
LOL Sarah, I didn’t recognize who Rob Weiss was, so when he mentioned Entourage I naturally assumed he was talking about Entourage for the Mac and Office 2008.
Silly me! I love Entourage the show!
Sounds like quite the party. One was forced to come and one could be bought ;)
I think it’s great with more competition on the market. Google needs more competition and I’m sure Microsoft can give them that!
I love Google.
Don’t get me wrong. I like Google too. I just think it’s good with competition. It usually benefits the user/consumer.
I do have a problem with Google changing Adsense all the time.
