How To Make A Live Show

I have been getting a lot of emails recently asking me how I make my live show. I’m lucky to have the help of Mogulus and their studio. I also use an N95 phone which I broadcast on to Flixwagon when outside of the studio.

Some of the equipment I use for the live show is not necessary, but adds an extra layer to the production quality compared to streaming right off your laptop (which I also do sometimes as well)

What are some of your favorite gadgets, accessories and software for live streaming?

I wish someone would pay me to do the “justin” thing. I would lifecast 24/7 if my life would allow it.

Clintus, O no you wouldn’t! I was 24/7 and OMG it’s a lot of work. It’s soooo much harder than doing edited videos. To do this 24/7 is crazy.

I bet we will see a lot of people go 24/7. Will we ever see a new Jenni CAM? I bet we will!

    Check out my camera:
    Sony Handycam

What do you use? I used to lifecast with it too! Sometimes I’ll lifecast from it, but now I usually use a web cam for lifecasting and the handycam for live shows. ;-)

I love the behind the scene stuff too(especially about video production), a Sony Handycam for lifecasting…thought that’s kind of overkilled lol

BTW, I am still not used to hearing “Sarah Austin”, “Sarah Meyers” roll off the tongue so much easier for me :-p

    Hi Sarah,
thanks for showing us the gear you use - interesting to see the work that goes into this stuff. The results are pretty slick.

Great show Sarah! Why are you using the name Sarah Austin now?

  10. sarah June 4th, 2008 at 12:23 am

    Hey Techman,

My Dad suggested Meyers a couple of years back ;-)

It was just a stage name.

I like Sarah Austin a whole lot better. Hope you all do too!
