EconCeleb is a conference at the Rosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California, about modern day celebrity. I interviewed Rafat Ali and Staci D. Kramer from PaidContent, a website that covers the media landscape as it transitions to the digital age, and Harvey Levin, the founding editor of TMZ, a website about celebrity news. These bloggers are on the cutting edge of media and where it’s going.

    1+1=3 Well no wonder I’m not rich, my math has been wrong this whole time!
    And as for gettting a big following? I think you have the formula down pretty good excellent content. Content,content,content!!!

    Hey funtime7777, interesting idea- content! I totally agree with you there. Though some content like wiff fit girl is bad, it’s not going to make a business or make money.

    I LOL at your math joke. That’s actually funny. I never understood the 1 plus 1 saying anyway. So funny how it could literally be a problem!!

    I like the guy who couldn’t find a job - so he started his own company.

    …. and then sold it for about 30 million dollars a decade later.

    The answer to gaining a big following is the million dollar questions. That’s what I’m struggling with now for my site. Trying to find knowledgeable online people that might have a part of the answer isn’t easy.

    I have some answers and advice on how to get more traffic and be noticed. Id like you to read “Influence” to find out more. It’s a psychology book in marketing.

    I don’t really care if you read it, but I recommend checking it out to get started in marketing. I do believe that most websites and blogs need to have a market and know how to do PR.

    @Kenn

    it’s not that difficult really, just laziness that kills people/startups

    Here are the million-dollar words: Put Yourself Out There.

    get great PR, do interviews, social network online and off, links from major other blogs, partnerships - link exchanges. etc etc. you’re only really limited by your imagination, to some extent

    @Lawrence @Kenn I think that it’s not all PR and marketing. It also has to do with having a good product.

    @sarah

    of course,
    that goes w/o say.

    You can’t sell diareahea in a bottle, even though you have Paris Hilton, Barak, and Tom Cruise pitching your product (or maybe you can)

    @Lawrence that’s so funny. I have a video to show you now that you bring up the water bottle. brb.

    Yup. You’ve still got that scarjo thing going on. I once had a drink at the Roosevelt with the famous Angelique AND her mom. Quite the experience.
