Amber Lee Ettinger is an actress and model who was cast as Obama Girl in a web series by Barely Political and Next New Networks. Obama Girl sparked national news coverage and became an internet phenomenon when “I Got A Crush On Obama” was released in 2007.

Never was a big fan of the Obama Girl videos, but I guess there is a place on the Internet for videos like that. I watched the latest video, and I admit, I chuckled a little.
I actually hadn’t seen these videos before, but it’s interesting to see how viral is spreading to even things like political opinions. One wonders how much of the populace at large really pays attention, and whether it shapes their view of the candidate. Neither Obama or McCain are endorsing their online cheerleaders, but you have to figure that there are some who can’t separate the politics from the entertainment.
It seems like this election is all about the entertainment and not about the politics. Am I right?
it’s always about politics, believe you me…but the lighter, entertainment notes, if you will…are easier to digest for everyone
It will be sad if this election is decided on image/entertainment rather than issues and substance. Still, a pretty girl in an “advertisement” is nothing new.
I do like that some of this youtube stuff bypasses the scripted fare of the mainstream media.
Sarah, are you really running for President?

Jay, that is SO Funny!!!
You never know what Sarah can do at this rate…lol
I love your video comment so much that I linked to it on twitter. hehehehe! I’m on FriendFeed more than twitter these days it seems.
Can I upload the video to YouTube?
Did anyone else notice how Jay’s link to the video brings people to PalTalk after the video ends?
I interviewed PalTalk.
Good story! Obama girl rules, but she is 2nd to you Sarah!
It’s interesting to see how Barely Political is working to get more and more traction out of Obama Girl with the Olympics series now
Hi Daisy, coming from you that observation is spot on. They follow trends in their videos to make them relevant. This is a way to get more views.
