The GreenHeart is one of the first eco-friendly products of the manufacturer. Sony Ericsson used reduced packaging materials, recycled plastics, optimized display light and waterborne paint in order to reduce the lifetime CO2 footprint of the device by 15%. It comes with an online manual to save paper, smaller packaging and is made from at least 50% recycled plastics.

Price: $49.99 with a $50 Rebate Sprint/Nextel

This phone is bright green and is hard to miss. It’s casing is made from a corn-based “bioplastic” which is 100 percent bio-degradable & PVC (polyvinyl chloride) & BFR (brominated flame retardants) Free. $2 from every purchase will go to Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre program.

Nokia E72 is made out of biomaterials created from more than 50% renewable materials. Even the packaging is made out of 60% recycle materials. The phone comes with a charger that which only uses electricity when charging. Nokia E72 is also BFR & CFR (chlorinated flame retardant) Free and is non-toxic to the environment. This is a great option for Blackberry lovers looking to switch to an environmentally friendly phone.
