    Pretty in Pink

Hey guys it’s me Rebekah. If you don’t know already, I’m pretty big into fashion. I’m always looking for interesting and unique styles. One of the more eccentric fashion trends, originally from japan, is known as “Lolita” I’ve never dabbled in Lolita before. I thought that it was just a bold Gothic abundance of weirdom. Girls decked out in puffy baby doll dresses, knee-high socks, bows, bonnets, and crazy platform heeled Mary Janes. In Japan, Lolita girls are everywhere and [...]

    The Little Bay Book Launches

What a better time to start a new Pop17 show than for the YouTube NextUp program? At midnight last night, YouTube creator’s channel closed it’s application process after being extended a few days. The contest is for an initial seed funding from Google toward any content creator’s channel. Hermione Way and I decided to collaborate on this unique opportunity for the possibility of funding, but more importantly the promotion and support from YouTube. What’s the future of TV? Possibly the [...]

Google Adsense Publishers, Japan Needs You! #sxswcares

Yesterday Google announced that the publishers on its Adsense program will be given the option to donate part of their earnings to Japan. Some Google Adsense publishers do make six figures a year, so there is no reason to not donate a small portion of this. I would rather have seen Google automatically go directly to the advertiser and request for a special commiseration to accommodate for the donation. Japan was hit by a 8.9 earthquake earlier this month which [...]

Hermione Way Supports Japan Earthquake During #SXSW

Hermione Way founder of Newspepper.com and contributor to Pop17.com is currently on a mission to get donations from SXSW attendees. The donations will be in aid of the Japan Earthquake relief fund. She is going round the event in Austin with an iPhone and ‘Square’ credit card processing device asking people to dare or challenge her to do various antics. The idea for the use of a Square device, a small iPhone accessory which processes credit card payments, originated on [...]
