A Zoetrope is a trick that show’s people animation through a series of still images spinning. Traditional zoetropes would use two-dimensional images, typically spun in a circle and with a person looking through the slits. This 3D zoetrope from Pixar inspired from Studio Ghibli by Hayao Miyazaki. Zoetropes date back to the nineteenth century.
