Damn, dude. Why do you care so much that I blocked you? I just don't like seeing profanity and rude language in my replies, is that too much for you to understand?

Well, apparently it doesn't matter what I say or think to you (well, except for the intense bitterness over something as trivial as twitter). I hope you have a truly wonderful week.

I was blocked for the same reason Veronica mentions breaking "the rules" by responding to a "troll". She thought that I was trying to become known through association. Well known twitter personalities complain about corporate entities or other online personalities trying to leverage their fame. *yawn* This bores me now. If you still care about it, I'm sorry you don't have a life.

Am I the only one to whom it isn't glaringly obvious why DieLaughing would have been blocked? Of course I'm not... that's a rhetorical question. Evidently, the only one who doesn't see this clearly is DieLaughing, and so he? continues to go to great lengths to demonstrate why it was such a necessary choice. Thanks DieLaughing, we get the picture. No need to continue adding to the ample evidence you given us.

Ha ha ha I had no idea anyone visited this site until I checked my SPAM filter and I had all these replies. Veronica still didn't explain why she blocked me. I *was* interested to know more about her, but she's like the super cute human embodiment of vaporware. No substance. Wow, I'm super impressed that you are smart enough to use technology, Veronica. So basically you are the internet equivalent of the chick in the bikini leaning on a hotrod. And by hotrod I mean the latest Digg story. Boo. *hiss* And feel free to fill up my SPAM filter, I don't mind at all.

Veronica, you're terrific! Thanks for helping so many of us "newbies" who are trying frantically to keep our heads above the techno-waters.

What amazed me about you in Sarah's video is that you have a presence on at least twenty-four social and networking sites (to name only a few!) How do you do it?

Can you help me please to understand how this can be possible? You're obviously a VERY busy woman! So how do you synchronize your data across these sites efficiently, so that you're not spending a lot of time updating each one?

I'm a missionary-musician who performs in about 40 countries, and I need a way to keep in touch with my fans in a lot of different places. But a single site, like Myspace or Facebook, will not do it, because in some countries (like the Philippines, for instance) people hardly ever use MySpace or FaceBook, but almost every young person (even in the most remote of villages that might have only a single tiny internet cafe) has a "Friendster account"--so logically for me to be accessible and reachable in that part of the world I really need a "Friendster" profile (and in the Caribbean it's "Hi5", and on and on it goes...) BUT like you, I haven't the time to maintain and update a lot of sites constantly. So...

How do you do it?

I've found thru a search in google a few new sites such as profilelinker, twitter, artistdata.com (for music artists) that claim to be able to port data across sites...but I want to know how YOU do it? Obviously you must have some real "tried in the field" experience, to maintain 24+ sites. Hope you can share your secret with me (and with all of us). Thanks so much! Keep up the good work!

PS Here's a song for you...hope it brightens up your day!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl43iB724WU

PS: What do you think about the announcement Thursday by MySpace(and Facebook yesterday) regarding their development to "port" data across social sites? (FYI the Myspace announcement can be found at:

Veronica is popular because she is good at what she does, has a great personality (which comes through in her videos) and is surprisingly accessible for someone who has gazillions of followers. Not only that, I love it when she speaks French! OMG! So hot!

@DieLaughing: You pathetic little snot-nosed gutter snipe! Take your tiny little man bits and tuck them back into your diaper where they belong... lest Veronica's army of adoring fans take you and suspend you naked over a cage of hungry dwarf hamsters... not to nibble on your sorry little gonads... but to give them a laugh that will most certainly make them feel like the relative giants that they are!

Veronica Belmont kicks A$$! She really won me over when she remembered my name when I sign into TalkShoe for Typical Mac User a few months ago. Veronica isn't to good for her people like some "internet personalities" are. She comunicates with everyone.

Casey McKinnon is another great for the same reasons. :D

Nice piece, Sarah. It shows that you (an intelligent woman) can honestly compliment another without feeling diminished, and Veronica deserves that because she's the same way.

It seems that "beautiful" women (by which I mean those for whom that is their primary characteristic) often have the need to dismiss others to justify themselves, and it really just digs their own social graves, as @dielaughing has also done in post 1.

Keep up the good work, ladies; the next generation of media deserves truly equal representation, and you are both excellent examples for others to follow.

I think a big part of her popularity, on top of being absolutely everywhere, is her youth. Her age bracket is alot closer to the internet-savvy people who are currently riding the social-web2.0 wave. Coupled with the insane amount of professional experience for her age, she seems alot more trustworthy and relatable than the average tech-guru.

@Veronica interesting that you say it breaks a rule. Where are these rules you speak of?

Here is the worst video comment I have ever made! (The camera kept cutting out). Posting below:

@dielaughing

I did just that... I DIED LAUGHING that you are so bitter and pathetic that you lowered yourself to such a hateful post.

.... really, it's ok, they have support groups for people like you.

I think Veronica is amazing, and I think she is a great role model for young girls.

Veronica is my personal tech hero (apart from you, Sarah!) Every time, I see a smart, sassy, tech savvy gal making waves in the tech community, it inspires me to pursue my own geeky dreams. VB not only knows her shizz, but she eats tech l0sers for breakfast.

@DieLaughing What rubbish. Veronica IMO is the poster child for the anti-bimbo, brains first, looks second brigade. In fact, judging the Mahalo Daily vlog Idol videos I have complained that none of these girls can hold a candle to VBs integrity, modesty and knowledge. There is no way she could have worked at CNET for so long without becoming well versed in all things tech.

Yeah, I sound like a fanboy, but I'm not. I dont stalk her on the web, I've posted maybe 2 comments on her blog. I just think she's the benchmark for female tech presence on the web. Way too many pretty people that come across as nothing more than bimbo's out there. VB not one of them

peace

Well, I will say that Veronica's pretty face does not hurt her cause (And I'm not complaining, I'm a fan!). Personally I think she has a good knowledge of what she is talking about. Can tell she does the research for what she is presenting. On top of that she has a very positive and up-beat personality, which makes her a joy to hear/watch.

So short answer, Veronica may not be as smart as Stephen Hawkins, but who would you rather be looking at?

(Ya, that's what I thought!)

Yeah, I got to disagree with the previous post. Veronica does more than her best to keep a good relationship with folks and be THAT popular. Give her break... start up your own internet career and see what it's like or how it works... if it's that easy you'll be blocking her tweets soon enough :-)

DieLaughing - It's exactly that kind of crap that I didn't want to see on my replies page. Stop spewing your negativity every where, and maybe people wouldn't block you.

Just because I don't code for a living doesn't mean I don't know about tech. I spend every day of my life absorbed in it. Does Scoble make a living off a computer sciences degree?

Crap, I already broke the first rule of the internet.. don't feed the trolls.

Sarah, thanks for the piece. :)

Veronica is FAIL. She blocked me on twitter before I even knew she existed. Lame. She falls under the category of "another pretty face" because her knowledge of anything tech is barely above newbie. Does she have a CS degree? Did she take a few courses at a community college? What's so great about her? That she's well known? *YAWN* Stop buying the hype from the Kevin Rose multiblogverse trail of destruction and talk about someone who actually matters.
