Does Wealth Affect A Person’s Rights In The US?

I met Jared Paul from “A Good Idea” today in San Francisco. It was interesting to hear him talking about the range of incomes in SF. All the way from the multimillionaires to the homeless individual with no chance of a prosperous future. I am not saying San Francisco is the unique example, but his comment made me think that I should investigate how wealth does affect a person’s rights. What Are The Basic Rights We Are Entitled To? Under [...]

  • Hot or Not: White Rappers

You’ve heard the good the bad and the ugly. But have you heard white rappers? Today, you may have seen the Super Bowl ad with Eminem for Brisk. He’s, in my opinion, the best white rapper. Who is the worst white rapper? My vote goes to Kevin Federline, but who do you think? Let me know your thoughts.

What Are You Doing For Social Media Week?

Social Media Week is happening in 9 cities this year.  I will be in San Francisco for this year’s events. Last year I was in London, had a fantastic time. This is the one time in the  year where the sensible thinkers help shape the conversations about social media. Very few people I met last year were hyping a social media service, they were being pragmatic (so refreshing!) We would love to know what you will be doing for Social [...]

5,000 Volunteers Helping The Homeless In San Francisco, Sounds Like A Good Idea To Me

There are 6,500 homeless people on the streets of San Francisco. Yet, the money they invest doesn’t represent the whole picture. Many non profits such as “Rock For Hunger”,  “The Giving Spirit” are acting to help develop the support programs for homeless and also provide them with the basic nutritional needs they deserve. Another San Francisco non profit is “A Good Idea” is also working to help provide help to the homeless. What is A Good Idea? from Jared Paul on [...]

Krystyl Baldwin Spreads The Love In Union Square, San Francisco

I met up with Krystal Baldwin (pictured left) today. Krystal was spreading the love in Union Square, San Francisco with the help of people visiting Union  Square. She took photos of people (including myself) holding a sign which said “LOVE!”. I decided to grab Krystal for a quick interview. Grab being the operative word because she is so energetic (and by the way, did I mention, AWESOME!) :) Here’s our quick one minute interview: Subscribe to her Youtube account to [...]

    Girl VS Gadget: MacWorld 2011

Our greatest challenge yet is not just one gadget, but an entire conference for Apple fans. MacWorld 2011 takes a win after a challenging fight. The conference had some pretty cool gadgets and a silly iPhone app, but all and all Apple fans live on victoriously. It’s a great conference for Apple fans to come out and celebrate their favorite products and accessories.

    BoxerGirl Unboxing Sony Bloggie Touch

Big thanks to Sony for giving me this Bloggie Touch to unbox for Pop17′s new mini series, BoxerGirl. Check out the Sony Bloggie Touch. One thing I want to point out, that I didn’t talk much about in the video, is Sony’s unique firmware. It has the ability to tag videos and photos as it uploads them to Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, and YouTube just as soon as the device is connected to a computer. Thank you so much to youtube [...]

Do The Vast Amount Of Non Profits Affect The Level Of Donations?

Charitable giving from individuals accounts for one of the largest percentage of donations a non profit gets each year. However, hypothetically speaking, do we have a supply and demand problem between non profits and donors? It seems wherever you look, there is ten non profits supporting the aid of animals, ten supporting the aid of children and ten supporting cancer research. Some of these groups may operate within a few miles of one another, others may operate in the same [...]

Crunchies Winners: Twitter Wins Best Startup

San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts hosted the Crunchies 2010 award ceremony and after party on Friday night. I went with Hermione Way, pictured above, but we didn’t get into the award ceremony even though we had tickets. We both were given VIP tickets, whatever that means, yet we were not admitted because they oversold capacity. There were about 40 of us who waited in the lobby for the awards show to finish and the after party to start. Time [...]
