Let’s have a vote. What would you rather use: the iPhone 3gs or Nexus One? Please tell me why in the comments below.

I co-created TweeterClubs, an application for twitter that is as if twitter lists mixed with tumblr groups. Check it out- coming to android and safari soon.

    Vote: Nexus One
Reason: The hardware- AMOLED display, processor and camera!

  2. sarah says:

iPhone will be rad once it’s on Verizon. AT&T is so bad.

  3. sarah says:

@Harmohn, thanks for your vote. That’s one for Android and none for iPhone… lol

  4. I would say the Nexus one-because when your contract up,you can change carriers. P.S. I did subscribe to your videos, for some reason it dose not work with miro. I get error can’t find file error.

  5. Lacedrabbit says:

iPhone 3gs without doubt, because I have one for 2 years and want more apps.

  6. Danny says:

Anything android can do my jailbroken and unlocked iPhone 3GS can do better. :)

  7. sarah says:

I would make my vote, but I don’t think that is fair.

That’s two for android and two for iphone 3gs

  8. Harmohn says:

@ Danny lol maybe, but not for long– I got both, 3GS physically looks dated in comparison to the N1′s hardware – you can’t beat the polish of the iPhones’ OS though ;)

  9. Tony says:

write in for palm pre. the reason being the amazing OS and it’s overall user experience. the complete openness of the platform is great too. oh yeah, and i can put it in my pocket!

  10. sarah says:

you can vote twice so that is three for the iphone 3gs, one for the palm pre and two for the android. Things are starting to heat up!

  11. iPhone 3GS. I haven’t had the AT&T problems in LA that have been hurting the iPhone’s reputation else where. Either way the UI design of the iPhone is so easy to use and so straight-forward that it saves countless time compared to the Google Nexus.

  12. Ray says:

Nexus One for me because Android has the free turn by turn navigation software that talks and other cool Google Apps like Google Translate, Listen, and Goggle. Plus, I can write my own apps using any of the major OS platforms.

  14. David says:

I would choose the Nexus One over the 3gs only because the iphone 4g is around the corner if Apple continues the trend of releasing them each year :)

With that being said I do like the flexibility of the android phones and you can go wrong with either choice imo.

Iphone 3GS = closed platform, better apps, better more intuitive UI, it just works!

Nexus One = Fastest Android OS yet, multitasking, very customizable, FREE turn by turn navigation (just be careful of the soft bandwidth cap you get each month)

If I owned a Nexus I’d probably save a ton of money not only from the monthly bills, but because there’s so many fun apps to get on the iphone :(

    WHERE’S MY PREVIOUS COMMENT?

  19. John says:

I own the iPhone 3GS since it was released. Last weekend, a friend of mine at Google had one that I played with. Touch screen was a bit buggy. The one feature that really stood out, which is a glaring iPhone shortcoming, was the flash player. Still, I’m unwilling to leave my iPhone as I still consider it to be the best overall smartphone. I do feel Android will eventually overcome their shortcomings but they’re not there yet.

  20. sarah says:

Danny, do you mean this one?

“Anything android can do my jailbroken and unlocked iPhone 3GS can do better. :)”

  21. sarah says:

@Brad Jashinsky I got you down for the iPhone 3gs all the way!

  22. Danny says:

Sarah, no the one that’s been waiting moderation for about an hour now

  23. Danny says:

I can vote twice! Jailbroken iPhone 3GS FTW! a few screen shots. I have widgets http://twitpic.com/y4vtd http://twitpic.com/y4vka http://twitpic.com/y4vjz I can theme my springboard http://twitpic.com/y4vju I haz palm pre style app switcher http://img160.yfrog.com/i/3kqi.jpg/ If my iPhone was stock I would probably go with the droid, but there are just to many cool apps that are being developed outside of Apples approval process for jailbroken devices, that it’s the best out of all 3 OS’s

  24. sarah says:

Oh ok, I’ll go approve that now. Thanks for letting me know :)

  25. Funtime7777 says:

I’m going with the iPhone Sarah.

  26. Mash salcedo says:

iPhone 3gs is the best. I’m happy with mine. It’s the best!!!!

  27. Adam says:

Nexus One for sure! Android is a so much more open user experience. The open source community is doing all sorts of cool modifications that you couldn’t dream of on a 3GS.

  28. Leon Bacud says:

Hey Sarah! I’ll have to vote for the Nexus One, because it runs Android. One of the great things about the Android is that application development is more open than any Apple one. Adam already went on the crowd sourcing aspects. People could dig into the power of the Android OS and make an application work faster than expected. Also applications are much easier to distribute. You don’t need to have approval from a corporate entity. You have full control over your product (or in this case, software).

The upside with the Apple is that it has brand power based on stability. Even at the cost of innovation and open source standards, Apple Inc. puts everything through rigorous tests before it goes into the app store (the only way to get an app on the phone is through this means without hacking it) so that there are no problems. With all the money coming in from brand loyalty, you’d expect AT&T to improve their network so that it could handle it’s own userbase.

  40. “I have to say appears that you’ve caught the true nitty-gritty of the situation for the moment. While many another seem to have overlooked the most-valuable thought of everything, when you put forward above is illuminated and alsodead on the money. I am not sounding out that I harmonize along all items; still, I must say you did minded me cause to ponder many of the charges that I imagined that I took for as impetuous opinions in that respects. Convincingly told, and it is now for someone like me to consider a wee bit more on a couple of your main items. In all it is clear you have clearly stated what needed to be said.”
