Marshal Kirkpatrick analyzes Google in their attempt to approach microblogging more seriously this year. Google will build a twitter like service, purchase twitter or FriendFeed. They already bought Jaiku for 5 million, but that didn’t go anywhere. FriendFeed seems like the best buy because twitter is becoming more like FF so with that move it seems that they would be two steps ahead.
