That’s my brother! He’s actually in his room right now. (And I’m in mine) My dad’s on Skype with a student (he’s a college Professor) and I’m typing this message! Oh yeah, I forgot. My mom’s making dinner! I’m my brother’s favorite sister. (Actually… his only one) But, anyways, great interview!

Oh and guess what? He just applied for early decision at Carnegie Mellon! Hope he gets in!

oh and just letting you know the reason i started watching you also is because of the leah culver interview. After you said “why are you a girl?” to Leah, i laughed for about 20 minutes and couldnt stop. From that moment i became a Sarah Meyer fan. MORE INTERVIEWS LIKE THAT PLEASE!!!

The reason i watch sarah meyer is because of the awkwardness. Without this i wouldnt be watching. I could just watch some boring proffesional interviewers around the net but Sarah is just soo damn funny because of the way she interviews. Please do not change! Or i will be forced to eat your ear.

Sarah, I think you should aim for the process (not the technical part, but the big picture). Imagine you have a viewer who wants to know how some ordinary 16 year old goes from zero to hero, so the viewer can do the same.

This leads to a whole line of questioning: How did you come up with the idea? What were your biggest obstacles? What advice do you have for someone who would like to duplicate your success? Do you have any new ideas that you are pursuing? Would you suggest working alone or on a team? etc.

Really, I’d like to ask you some of the same questions! You’re on your way (I dunno, maybe you’ve already made it!) I want to know about you!

I could get more nitty gritty in the edit. We did talk about how he made it, what it does and it’s features, but I decided to edit that part out.

It’s a show about people so I’m trying to focus on that.

Do you guys want more techy details or more personal details?

To interview people in the tech industry you need to know the tech lingo. I’m not trying to be mean, but I think the interview would have been more exciting Sarah if you could delve deeper into technical specifics. You’re a pop princess talking to the geek in high school, and everyone knows that they didn’t get along in high school.
