I look around at my house - we probably have 100 DVD movies, and 100+ hours of video of kids and stuff. And it'll only grow. Not sure why we feel the need to "own our own copy", but it's probably (somehow) the same mentality that keeps most Americans in cars instead of in mass transit. Personally, I can't see people (i.e. myself) ever storing video clips offline like music. The trend to move software from the hard-drive to the web (PhotoShop Express comes to mind) underscores in my mind, the shift to make off-line a thing of the past. Then again, I'm pretty sure Mr. Plesser has waay more knowledge than I do on the subject. Anyway, great stuff. That’s an interesting take on the future of video.
