I went to Prospect Park in Brooklyn and met with the team at Indy Mogul to celebrate their one year anniversary. Indy Mogul releases three shows a week that help people find out about film making. They show you everything from how to make a web show on a low budget to creating special effects.
The crew is with Next New Networks producing 5 minute episodes for the web full time. On their YouTube channel alone they are just about to hit the 20,000 subscriber mark and have 180 videos on the site.
Their active participation with their audience is discussed on their wikipedia page – “Indy Mogul’s audience is highly influential in the direction of the show, not only by making requests for effects and asking questions, but by following in the footsteps of the Indy Mogul crew and passing on their own knowledge of film making. Forum members have been brought on as bloggers for the site and many viewer submitted tutorials have gained many views on YouTube.”

first. no just kidding. im such a dork. Ok, off the tubes for an hour now. Hope you all love Indy Mogul and it helps you make better web videos on a low budget.
Second!!!
this is a freakin great video. well done. I clicked over to you via twitter yesterday and I am fascinated.
anyway the reason for commenting: why isn’t there a “pop” sound then your logo displays at the end? that would be so cool to show a full apple then have the pop17 appear with a pop sound, no?
I am not sure about doing what you suggest about a pop sound, although I do listen to feedback in comments and emails and facebook messages in regards to editing and production. Pop with this name “Pop17″ stands for popular.
The alpha run popsnap stood for the pop you are talking about, but that name didn’t work out so I came up with pop17 for the popular 17.
LMAO @ your “first!” comment! You’re so cool Sarah!
Also, this was a cool video, I really like learning about behind the scenes stuff and filmmaking. Thanks!
Indy Mogul RAWKS! :D
Happy Birthday, Guys! :D

@oooyo 10th!!!
@Justin, thanks for being on Pop17! I <3 Indy Mogul.
This is what I love about Pop17. I’ve never heard about IndyMogul before, but now I can’t stop watching it.
In high school I used to make a lot of very very low-budget amateur films (of course that was before YouTube and DVDs, so they are all gone now), but it’s great to see people with the same engagement and drive.
wow…….there wearing party hats
