EconCeleb is a conference at the Rosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California, about modern day celebrity. I interviewed Rafat Ali and Staci D. Kramer from PaidContent, a website that covers the media landscape as it transitions to the digital age, and Harvey Levin, the founding editor of TMZ, a website about celebrity news. These bloggers are on the cutting edge of media and where it’s going.

I like the guy who couldn’t find a job – so he started his own company.
The answer to gaining a big following is the million dollar questions. That’s what I’m struggling with now for my site. Trying to find knowledgeable online people that might have a part of the answer isn’t easy.
@Kenn
it’s not that difficult really, just laziness that kills people/startups
Here are the million-dollar words: Put Yourself Out There.
get great PR, do interviews, social network online and off, links from major other blogs, partnerships – link exchanges. etc etc. you’re only really limited by your imagination, to some extent
@Lawrence @Kenn I think that it’s not all PR and marketing. It also has to do with having a good product.
@sarah
of course,
that goes w/o say.You can’t sell diareahea in a bottle, even though you have Paris Hilton, Barak, and Tom Cruise pitching your product (or maybe you can)
My input is content and getting early adopters.
Funny video! Very true. Thanks for all the comments. Sarah, I’ll check out the book. Lawrence: click my name and you’ll see my site.
Yup. You’ve still got that scarjo thing going on. I once had a drink at the Roosevelt with the famous Angelique AND her mom. Quite the experience.
Nice job with the interviews of Rafat and Harvey!!

1+1=3 Well no wonder I’m not rich, my math has been wrong this whole time!
And as for gettting a big following? I think you have the formula down pretty good excellent content. Content,content,content!!!
