With Facebook growing at such a rapid pace how can developers/designers/marketers/PR people/celebrities/the rest of us possibly keep with Facebook’s news and updates?
Here’s a list of different fan pages created by Facebook for specific topics of interest such as news from the Facebook Data Team and Facebook for non-profits. Go “like” the pages most relevant to you and get the Facebook news you need directly in your news feed!
Official Facebook Page- The official fan page for Facebook. Like this page to stay connected with new products, announcements and stories.
Facebook PR- Best practices and conversations around using Facebook for PR.
Facebook Data Team- Announcements from the Facebook Data Team. The Facebook Data team builds scalable platforms for the collection, management, and analysis of data.
Facebook Design Team- News from the team that designs Facebook. Get updates on UI improvements, announcements, and general awesomeness from some of the Valley’s best designers.
Facebook Engineering Team- Facebook is built in PHP, C++, Perl, Python, Erlang, Java, and even a little bit of ML. Like this page to get updates from the engineering team, they shares insightful content on everything from scaling issues, Facebook’s engineering culture and making the site work. MySQL at Facebook- This page is “devoted to making MySQL better. Written by people who work at Facebook.”
Facebook Platform- Facebook Platform enables anyone to build social applications on Facebook and the web. Fan this page to get announcements as the Facebook Platform team continuously makes the web a more open and social experience.
Facebook Known Issues- “Like” Facebook Known Issues fanpage if you want the most up-to-date information about bugs and other issues on the site. Also, if you’re having a problem with Facebook click the “Report” tab on the fanpage, or leave a comment.
Facebook + Media- This page is set up to help News, TV, Video, Sports, and Music partners use Facebook. This is a great resource for best practices, new tools, insights, etc.
Facebook for influencers- Are you a public figure? This is a fan page all about how to build your presence and engage with your audience on Facebook. Fan this page for updates and check out the “resources” tab if you’re just starting out.
Facebook for non-profits- Facebook loves non-profits! This page is a great resource for non-profits and other organizations for social good. Fan this page for best practices, announcements and amazing case studies.
Sports on Facebook- Are you a sports fan? This page is a great discovery tool for sports content across Facebook.
