Googled

“Googled?”

Yes, it is a verb. Soon to be a MOVIE! If you think the facebook movie, “A Social Network”, is going to be a big deal? Can you imagine?!! We are talking about the GOOGLE movie!!!

The announcement was just made that the rights to the book “Googled: The End of the World As We Know It” by Ken Auletta, were just purchased by Groundswell Productions and John Morris, a well known investor. Michael London was brought on to produce. London is best known for “Milk” and “Sideways”, ironically both Silicon Valley based movies, but can he produce the ULTIMATE Silicon Valley
movie?!

The movie plans to stay true to founders Sergey and Larry. Eric Schmidt, the current CEO will also be in there somewhere. Google is one of the most amazing companies in the world to date. No one has done anything quite like Larry and Sergey. Even the “campus” as they call it in their main office in Mountain View, California is phenomenal. They have multiple restaurants for the company to dine in. You can bring your dog to work. You literally feel like you are on a college campus and that environment both encourages and cultivates the feeling of innovation and entrepreneurship.

No one has been cast as of yet, but it will certainly be interesting to see if they go with newbies or blockbuster actors. I personally would love to see Josh Hartnett play Larry.
